The Biology Buzz

Hi! My name is Ella Dunn and welcome to The Biology Buzz! I started this blog due to my fascination for biology which really blossomed in my Junior year of high school. 

Ever since I took my first anatomy class in my 8th grade summer I have been fascinated by biology. That class opened my eyes to the complexity of the human body from learning about organ systems to performing dissections. One of my favorite experiences was dissecting a sheep brain where I got to see the different lobes and structures that control movement, memory, and emotions. We even learned how to stitch wounds, which made me feel like a real surgeon in training!

Later, in my junior year of high school, I took my first full honors biology course, and it quickly became my favorite subject. One lab that amazed me was when we used microscopes to study tiny organisms. Seeing life on such a small scale felt like stepping into a hidden world. The bacteria, cells, and microscopic creatures looked so cool up close! I kept thinking about it for days, and that moment truly solidified my passion for science.

Now, I am an aspiring doctor, I am eager to dive even deeper into biology and medicine. I plan to study biology in college and eventually pursue a career in the medical field, where I can use my knowledge to help others. This blog is my way of sharing my love for everything about biology, from interesting facts about the human body to fun experiments you can do at home.
